Teach online at Cosmo 1:1 (formerly Class Up), a premier online learning platform that connects K‑12 students in the US, Canada, and across Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for personalized lessons. As a tutor you’ll have a flexible schedule that you set, teaching ESL students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum.

This is the perfect opportunity for experienced educators to connect with students in an after‑school setting. You will meet with your students at a set time each week for 50‑minute 1‑on‑1 lessons, building a welcoming and fun learning environment. Teachers must be reliable role models, arriving on time, well‑prepared, and demonstrating a passionate and kind demeanor.

The pay rate is $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.

• Provide personalized 1‑on‑1 instruction for students
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App promptly
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability
• Submit class feedback after each lesson
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting
• Communicate with Cosmo staff

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA
• Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum
• Experience teaching ESL learners
• Teaching qualification preferred but not required
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000
• Commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
• Availability between 8‑2 PM GMT Monday‑Friday or 5 AM‑2 PM GMT weekends
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability per week
• Access to a private and quiet location
• Passion for helping students learn
• Currently located in the UK
• Approachable, patient, adaptive, considerate, enthusiastic, reliable (must all be demonstrated)
