Remote Teacher of Primary Mathematics - Part Time or Full Time (6 : 45 am to 3 : 30 pm UK Time)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly motivated, qualified Maths Teacher or Primary Teacher from January 2026. This position is exciting in the innovative, inspiring and growing International British Online School.

Successful applicants must have:- A certified teaching qualification, such as
B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree). - Exceptional subject knowledge in Mathematics and Primary Teaching, with extensive experience of teaching the British National Curriculum in Key Stages 1 & 2.
- Experience of teaching KS3 Mathematics (preferably with Pearson International Examinations)
- A desire to help build a thriving department in a new school.
- A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning.
- A willingness to take part in extra‑curricular activities after school.
- Experience of teaching computer Science to KS3 & KS4
- Experience of teaching pupils with English as a Additional Language or English as a Second Language.
- Experience in using Microsoft Teams and SAMS.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
- Experience of integrating technology into KS4 & KS5 teaching.
- Previous international teaching experience.
- Set challenging teaching and learning objectives based on knowledge of the students, their past / current achievement, the expected standards for students of the relevant ages, and the range / content of work relevant to students.
- Use these objectives to plan lessons and sequences of lessons in advance, showing how they will assess students’ learning, differentiating between students’ varying needs.
- Select and prepare resources, including ICT, and plan for their safe and effective organisation as well as marking and giving regular feedback and intervention to students.
- Work with department colleagues to develop schemes of work, teaching methodologies and resources.
- Use monitoring and assessment information to evaluate and extend students’ achievement.
- Give frequent and constructive feedback to support students as they learn, following department policies on marking both classwork and online homework, and relating this to national standards where appropriate.
- Manage students who fail to complete / hand in work, according to school policies.
- Identify and support more able students, those working below expectations or failing to achieve their potential, and those with emotional / behavioural / social difficulties.
- Record students’ progress and achievements systematically, using this to help students review their own progress and inform parents of students’ achievement at Parents’ meetings, on grade cards and Reports or references.
- Discuss with students their views about their own progress and strengths / weaknesses, using subject performance profiles, so as to set targets for future improvement.
- Apurposeful, disciplined learning environment, where students feel secure and confident.
- Highexpectations of students’ academic behaviour, clear disciplinary structures following the Code of Conduct, and the promotion of self‑control and independence.
- Clearly structured lessons or sequences of work which interest and motivate students, and make learning objectives clear to students.
- Employ a variety of interactive teaching methods and collaborative group work.
- Promote active and independent learning, which enables students to think for themselves and plan / manage their own learning.
- Differentiated teaching where appropriate, to meet the needs of a variety of students.
