The Learning & Development Officer will support the Head of People & Culture and Senior Leaders in delivering an effective Learning & Development (L&D) function that meets organisational strategic outcomes while strengthening core administrative and process-driven capabilities.

This fixed-term role will:

  • Support the development, coordination, and administration of L&D activities across the company.
  • Contribute to designing and embedding foundational L&D processes, frameworks, and systems.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning that aligns with both business objectives and individual development needs.
  • Provide robust administrative support to ensure high-quality, well-tracked, and well-evaluated learning interventions.

Key Objectives of the Fixed-Term Post

  • Ensure efficient administration and coordination of all learning initiatives.
  • Lay the foundations for consistent, scalable L&D systems and processes.
  • Provide operational support while contributing to the organisation’s long-term L&D strategy.
  • Maintain high-quality records, reporting, and data integrity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learning & Development Coordination and Administration
  • Manage the end-to-end administration of training activities, including bookings, communications, tracking attendance, and maintaining accurate training records.
  • Coordinate the Learning & Development calendar, ensuring activities are planned, scheduled, and communicated effectively.
  • Support the maintenance and optimisation of L&D systems, platforms, and databases.
  • Ensure all L&D documentation, records, and materials are organised, accessible, and regularly updated.
  • Support the Design and Delivery of Learning Interventions
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of training programmes using both digital and in-person methods.
  • Contribute to the development of staple learning pathways and content if needed, that align with organisational values and employee lifecycle touchpoints.
  • Tailor training support based on varying learning abilities and department needs.
  • Contribution to L&D Strategy and Process Development
  • Work with the Head of People & Culture to help shape and embed foundational L&D frameworks and best-practice processes.
  • Participate in consultations with business area leaders, Core function and Business area officers, and the in-house training team to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Evaluation, Reporting, and Data Quality
  • Support the establishment of evaluation points for all L&D activities and help measure outcomes against performance indicators.
  • Produce timely reports and dashboards summarising L&D activity, impact, and engagement.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting and L&D records.

  • Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating learning and development programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
