Inclusive Education Coordinator – Online, Immediate Need

- Regent Christian Online Academy invites applications for an Inclusive Education Coordinator position for the upcoming Academic Year, starting January 5, 2026. This role will be performed entirely online.
Under the direction of the Director of Inclusive Education, the Inclusive Education Coordinator will provide quality educational services to students with exceptionalities and their parents in a home learning setting, working alongside parents and the education team to plan and implement student IEP programs.
Qualifications – Education and/or TrainingAn experienced inclusive education teacher, certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools. The candidate should enjoy supporting families who have chosen to educate their children in a home learning environment and possess experience in inclusive education or a related field. Training or experience in modifying and adapting general education curriculum, creating IEPs, and compiling special needs funding justification documents is required.
ExperienceExperience and education related to working with individuals who have physical and learning disabilities, including but not limited to ASD, FASD, Cerebral Palsy, Chronic Health Impairments, Hearing Loss, Visual Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Behaviour or Mental Health concerns. A desire to work with coded special education students (K‑12) and their families in a home learning setting, ability to modify and adapt curriculum, and ability to collaborate with families and team members to write SMART IEPs and student learning plans.
Credentialsand/or
Skills and Abilities
- Certified by the B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch or the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools.
- Ability to recognize learning challenges, prescribe remediation and evaluate student progress.
- Understanding of the dynamics and challenges faced by families with children who have special needs.
- Ability to function as a member of an educational team and collaborate with parents, SEA’s, general education staff, therapy providers, support personnel and community agencies.
- Strong behaviour management and positive discipline skills.
- Ability to be flexible and receptive to change.
- Some experience or training in interpreting standardized scores and relevant details found in Ed Psych and other assessment reports.
This is a 0.5‑0.6 FTE position, with an annual salary range of $30,000 to $45,000.
