We are currently recruiting an experienced NVQ Assessor (Electrical Installation) to join our team.
This role is a mix of home working and on-site working. You will mainly work from home, using online platforms for meetings, and will have unlimited access to our training centre facilities if you prefer to work from the office. You will occasionally need to travel to meet with learners to perform student observations.

Job Role:
We are looking for an Experienced / Qualified NVQ Assessor.
- Carry out initial assessment of student to assess suitability for qualification.
- Carry out induction with student at the start of the programme.
- Be responsible for ensuring a good level of engagement via regular contact and through a progress review.
- Ensure progress reviews are carried out at mutually agreed times with students.
- Build a portfolio with the student, supporting them with advice and guidance to enable them to complete all mandatory elements of the programme.
- Ensure each student is working in line with their individual learning plan.
- Ensure the student has a good level of knowledge, skills, and behaviours to reach gateway.
- Act as conduit between training provider and employer where applicable.
- Action plan poor performance and report this to the NVQ Team Leader.
- Complete documentation when a break in learning is needed.
- Complete withdrawal paperwork where required.
- Ensure timely success rates are achieved.
- Support learners with learning needs and ensure this is effectively put in place.
- Support the student with End Point Assessment.
- Give initial advice and guidance to new students.
- Be the single point of contact on a daily basis with the student.
- Ensure the students welfare, safeguarding and prevent knowledge is to a high level.
- Ensure the student is kept safe in the workplace and issues are reported straight away.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self‑motivated team player with a desire to help and support learners and willingness to learn new skills.
It is expected that the candidate will come from an electrical installation / maintenance / engineering background and hold relevant up to date qualifications along with experience within the field of electrical installation / maintenance.
Essential Qualifications and Skills- Solid industry experience of electrical installation.
- Assessors A1/TAQA Level 3 (qualified assessor).
- Able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Able to develop accessible learning materials for their students.
- Be IT literate with a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Hold Full UK Driving Licence and own car.
- Internal Quality Assurance V1/TAQA L4.
Required checks:
The successful applicant will be required to undertake appropriate checks, including an enhanced DBS disclosure as well as providing proof of the right to work in the UK.
