Position Summary And Responsibilities
- Utilize the Pearson Online Classroom to support and motivate students, deliver synchronous instruction, provide interventions, enrichment, and use data to diagnose student learning needs.
- Participate in monthly in‑person activities, including school and department meetings, student engagement opportunities, required training/development, and school‑level events such as state testing and graduation.
- Represent a commitment to equitable practice, holding high expectations for all students and providing individualized support.
- Support the instructional program with asynchronous recorded lessons, synchronous instruction, and individual communications/intervention.
- Provide clear, constructive, and consistent feedback for all student work, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner.
- Communicate with parents, students, and other teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules, assess student work, and recommend instructional approaches.
- Develop knowledge of the entire K‑12 curriculum and detailed knowledge of the courses for which responsible.
- Operate within the Response to Intervention/ Multi‑Tiered System of Supports model, using data and evidence to provide Tier 1 differentiation, and collaborate on Tier 2/3 interventions.
- Support students and parents with alternate lessons, assessments, and strategies, and provide additional assistance with daily assignments and projects.
- Build strong relationships with students and families to provide direct instruction and intervention.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure all students progress through the program and parents have a central point of contact.
- Continuously monitor student data to make instructional decisions that impact learning.
- Coordinate with Advisory Teachers and School Counselors on student and family communication.
- Attend required school and district professional development and seek growth within curriculum field(s).
- Participate in the organization and administration of state testing and student recruiting sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Highly qualified and certified to teach Elementary grades in Georgia.
- Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office and Google Suite).
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Highly organized and punctual.
- Student‑ and family‑focused approach.
- High flexibility and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑player track record.
- Strong interpersonal skills across diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to travel for marketing, state testing events (may require overnight travel).
- Availability for occasional evening hours and remote work if necessary.
