Adjunct Faculty POOL – Clinical Nursing at Walla Walla Academic Year)
Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) invites applications to create a pool of clinical nursing instructors for the Walla Walla campus for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Positions are part‑time, temporary, and part of the Continuous recruitment process.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned clinical groups, prepare and present material related to clinical agency procedures.
- Assign and evaluate clinical performance grades, maintain student records, and consult with students as required.
- Assist full‑time instructors in instruction, clinical, and advising of LPN/ADN students.
- Supervise and facilitate positive learning experiences for students.
- Evaluate students’ performance on a systematic basis.
- Prepare and maintain student records related to learning activities.
- Ensure safe, quality nursing care by students per agency and state standards.
- Provide availability to students outside clinical setting.
- Refer students to academic advisors as needed; facilitate debriefings in association with clinical experience.
- Participate in program and college service activities such as coordinating clinical experiences, promoting community awareness, and building relationships with agency staff.
- Engage in professional development, maintain proficiency in clinical education and practice, attend required activities to maintain licensure.
- Apply teaching competencies: integrate diverse methods, develop assessment standards, build constructive relationships, recognize cultural diversity.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least 3 years of nursing work experience.
- Registered or eligible to be a Registered Nurse in Washington State.
- Experience in medical‑surgical nursing.
- Master’s degree in nursing is desired.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered at the College’s discretion.
- For remote work, applicants must reside in WA, OR, , CA, IL, PA, or TX.
Part‑time instruction assignment contingent on enrollment, located at Walla Walla campus. Must provide lawful employment documentation and transcripts within 3 days of employment. Candidates are subject to criminal history background check. College is a tobacco‑free institution. All employees participate in direct deposit.
CompensationPay is governed by the contract between WWCC Board of Trustees and the Association for Higher Education. The position is eligible for a $1,000 nursing educator retention bonus and a $1,000 signing bonus per quarter, contingent upon state funding.
