Position: Make A Difference, Buffalo! - Local Coordinator to Exchange Students Needed!

Local Coordinator – Exchange Students (Buffalo, NY)

Education Travel & Culture (ETC) is a non‑profit 501(c)(3) educational exchange organization. We find loving host families across the country for international high‑school exchange students. This part‑time supplemental income Local Coordinator role supports our mission of spreading international goodwill.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with exchange students, host families, and local high schools, including monthly oversight of the exchange student
  • Receive full training, teaching, and ongoing support from the Field Manager
  • Share the hosting opportunity by connecting in person, via social media, or other means
  • Recruit host families through reverse networking, job postings, phone calls, and outbound emails
  • Advise and support students and host families during the program
  • Recruit and supervise host families, compensating for each family recruited; hours are based on recruitment and student oversight

Qualifications

  • Ability to problem‑solve and support students and host families during the program
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and well‑networked within the community
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Recruitment skills and the ability to screen potential leads (nice‑to‑have)
  • Independent contractor position enabling work from home and flexible scheduling
  • Compensation is dependent upon recruitment efforts and student oversight; this position provides supplemental income only

This is an independent contractor position that enables you to work at home and within your own schedule.
