Vancouver Local Coordinator to Exchange Students

Overview

Education Travel & Culture (ETC) is a non‑profit [501(c)(3)] educational exchange organization that connects international high‑school students with host families and local high schools across the United States. We are seeking a part‑time Local Coordinator to help promote our mission of spreading international goodwill, recruit host families, and support students and families throughout the program.

• Work closely with exchange students, host families, and local high schools, including monthly oversight of each student’s program.
• Receive full training, teaching, and ongoing support from the Field Manager.
• Recruit host families through reverse networking, job postings, phone calls, and outbound emails.
• Share the hosting opportunity via in‑person interactions, social media, or other outreach methods.
• Be compensated for each host family recruited; compensation depends on recruitment efforts and student oversight.

• Self‑motivated, organized, and well‑networked within the community.
• Ability to problem‑solve and support students and families during the program.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Recruitment skills with the ability to screen potential leads (nice‑to‑have).
• Experience working with youth or in a human services/education role is an advantage (no prior experience required).

This is an independent contractor position that allows you to work from home on a flexible schedule. Hours are based on the number of families recruited and students overseen.
