Part-Time Remote Tutor (Academic Support)

Base pay range: $10.00/hr - $20.00/hr

As a part-time tutor with Revolution Prep, you’ll enjoy the stability and perks of being a W-2 employee, plus paid training, prep time, and a supportive community. Our in-house curriculum and resources let you focus on teaching, not creating lesson plans. It’s a rewarding role that also provides valuable extra income while you’re in college.

Lead dynamic academic support tutoring sessions; share educational progress with students and families; utilize curated resources for planning; part-time schedule with defined weekly hours; pay includes tutoring rate plus prep/training time compensation.

• Lead dynamic academic support tutoring sessions (90%)
• Share educational progress with students and families (5%)
• Utilize our curated resources for stress-free planning (5%)
• Part-time: 12-hour delivery target with 16 hours of availability or 20-hours delivery target with 24 hours availability, including evenings and weekends
• 11 Pay: $20 per hour for tutoring; prep and training time compensated at $10 per hour or your local minimum wage (whichever is higher)

• Completed a minimum of two years at an accredited university; additional qualifications a plus
• Authorization to work in the U.S. and current residence required
• Minimum of one semester teaching or tutoring experience
• Reliable high-speed internet and quiet, professional space; technology kit provided if needed (webcam, headset, ring light, green screen, annotation tablet)
• The ability to commit to the same 16 or 24 hours of availability week-on-week during weekday afternoons/evenings and at least 8 hours of weekends

• Availabilit:
  Post at least 16 or 24 prime-time hours weekly, the same hours every week. Our goal is to book you for 12 or 20 tutoring hours per week respectively depending on student demand.
• Mon-Thu: 4-10 pm ET
• Sat: 9 am - 6 pm ET
• Sun: 11 am - 10 pm ET
• Weekends:
  At least 8 hours of availability on Saturday and/or Sunday is required.
• Advance Planning:
  Preference will go to those who can post schedules 9+ months ahead and those who can commit to consistent hours week on week. Please submit time-off requests 4 weeks in advance.

Is tech provided? A tech kit is available for tutors who need it, including items such as a webcam, headset, green screen, and annotation tablet.

Q:
How flexible is the time-off policy?

A:
Requests for time off must be submitted at least 4 weeks in advance. We have systems in place for coverage in emergencies.
