Basic Function
Kern Community College District is accepting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors on a continuous basis. Qualified applicants will be contacted as needs arise. Applications remain active for up to two years.

The successful applicant will provide instruction in Spanish courses, potentially at various campus sites and modalities, including distance learning. Responsibilities include curriculum development, student recruitment, and participation in departmental activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's in Spanish OR Bachelor's in Spanish AND Master's in another language or linguistics OR a valid credential to teach Spanish at the California Community College level OR equivalent qualifications. Candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds. Degrees from outside the U.S. must be evaluated by an approved service.

Knowledge & Abilities
Candidates should demonstrate broad discipline knowledge, effective communication, curriculum development skills, familiarity with technology, and commitment to the community college mission.
