This position plays a central role in advancing Tulane University’s vision, mission, and thought leadership by providing strategic leadership for online and graduate education initiatives. The Assistant Provost will guide the development and growth of innovative online and distance education offerings, enabling the University to remain entrepreneurial, forward-looking, and responsive to evolving academic and workforce trends. Working closely with academic schools, the Provost’s Office, and key stakeholders, this role helps ensure Tulane’s programs remain relevant, competitive, and aligned with the needs of learners in a global economy.

The Assistant Provost will lead highly collaborative efforts to launch and scale online academic programs, shape marketing and recruitment strategies, and support modern approaches to teaching and learning that anticipate the demands of future industries. Serving as a member of the Provost’s Office and the University Leadership Team, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence institutional direction at the highest level.

All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with Tulane University’s values and academic philosophy, with the Provost providing direct oversight and strategic guidance.

• Hold at least a master’s degree in higher education or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• Have at least five years of leadership experience in an online degree granting educational environment.
• The ability and experience to support and influence all online initiatives at the University.
