Position
Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Music Teacher position available. The position is grant‑funded for three years through the Let Music Fill My World grant. Long‑term contribution will depend on district budget priorities after the grant period ends.
Work Schedule7.25 hours per day.
- Day School – Late morning to afternoon (3 sections/week)
- Night School – Early evening classes (2 sections/week)
- Wednesdays – Success Lab class, two enrichment sessions and two night school sessions
- Additional time for planning, collaboration, and partnership‑building
* Schedule may fluctuate each quarter depending on student need.

Salary Range$50,525 – $91,753 annually (prorated based upon hire date). Based on level of education and full years of licensed teaching experience.

QualificationsCurrent Minnesota PELSB license in appropriate area preferred and/or required:
Instrumental and Classroom Music (K‑12 or 9‑12).
RPS makes an effort to hire teachers with a full standard license in the assigned subject and/or grade level.

This position will work across day school, night school, recovery school, and success lab (online) programs, giving students multiple paths to graduation. This is the first full‑time music teacher at ALC, Rochester’s alternative high school serving a diverse population.
The position requires on‑site work and is not eligible for telework or remote work.
