Job Description Purpose and ScopeTeaching faculty provide learning activities and support that lead to course objectives, contributing to the educational environment of the college and community.
Primary responsibilities:
plan, develop, and teach courses within the curriculum to facilitate student learning.
Adjunct faculty are hired part‑time on a semester‑by‑semester basis, contingent upon system needs. They may teach a maximum of five classes per academic year.

- Ability to develop and implement instructional approaches such as service learning/civic engagement, learning communities, and technology use.
- Use effective strategies to engage students in learning.
The work is sedentary: employee sits comfortably while working. Duty may require walking, standing, bending, carrying light items (papers, books, small parts), or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required.
Work Schedule and Conditions- Equipment: PC workstation on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment.
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
- Work performed in a climate‑controlled classroom/lab with minimal safety hazards.
- Hours vary by class time; instructors must meet class times and be available to students outside class instruction.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management, and 3 years of non‑teaching work experience in the field.
