About the Role & CompensationFull-Time Online Professional Tutor

This is a W-2 employee role with the stability and perks of employment, plus a dynamic in-house curriculum and ample resources so you can focus on teaching. We provide paid training, prep time, and a supportive tutor community.
Responsibilities- Lead dynamic tutoring sessions, including executive function coaching (approximately 90% of time)
- Discuss educational progress with students and families (approximately 5%)
- Utilize curated resources for planning (approximately 5%)
- Maintain full-time availability: minimum 38 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
- Compensation: tutoring pay starts at $25/hour, with potential to earn up to $29/hour based on performance and subject coverage at the 90-day review; prep and training time compensated at $10/hour or the higher of local minimum wage
- Completed bachelor s degree required; additional qualifications are a plus
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and current residence required
- Minimum of one year teaching or tutoring experience; expertise in AP STEM subjects is a plus
- Ability to tutor math content through Algebra II
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional space; tech kit provided if needed (webcam, headset, ring light, green screen, annotation tablet)
- Commitment to the same 38 hours of availability week-on-week during weekday afternoons/evenings and at least 8 hours on weekends
Availability: post at least 38 prime-time hours weekly, with the goal to book about 30 tutoring hours per week based on student demand. Up to 35 hours may be possible depending on availability, subject coverage, and demand.
Prime-time Hours (ET)
- Mon–Thu: 3–11 pm
- Fri: 3–7 pm
- Sat: 9 am–7 pm
- Sun: 9 am–10 pm
- Weekends: at least 8 hours of availability on either Saturday or Sunday
Advance Planning:
Preference given to those who can post schedules 9+ months ahead and commit to consistent week-to-week hours. Time-off requests should be submitted 4 weeks in advance.
