Senior Youth Worker (Youth Voice and Influence)
JNC Professional Range 22 – 25 - £38,757 to £41,755
Permanent, Working 36.5 hours per week.
Based at Maypole Youth Centre with a city wide brief.
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Youth Worker to join Birmingham Youth Service, Children and Families Directorate.
In this pivotal role you will support the delivery of youth voice across the service and the wider Directorate with a focus on Children in Care. You will contribute to planning and performance management across the delivery team and inspire and motivate the best provision for young people.
Responsibilities include ensuring the implementation of systems across Birmingham Youth Service and delivering high‑quality youth work to our young people. You will work collaboratively with other SYW and stakeholders to promote creative partnerships and improve outcomes for young people.
Qualifications and experience:
- Educated to a degree level in Youth Work with a JNC qualification.
- Significant experience managing and leading staff in youth work delivery.
- Strong understanding of relevant policies, practices and national frameworks.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands and work under pressure.
