Adjunct Instructor - Public Health & Population Health

Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Public Health and Population Health undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) Department.

The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part‑time teaching positions for the minor in Medical Sociology and undergraduate degree in Population Health Management. Specifically, the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach Medical Sociology, Introduction to Population Health Management, Global Population Health, Rural Health, Current Health Issues, and Community Program Planning, among others.

Appointments may include courses offered online, in person on campus, hybrid, or related clinic or lab, or in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements.

Primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus, the Portland‑Metro campus (located in Wilsonville, OR), and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online, within the United States.

This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. After two years, if you are still interested, you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.

• Master’s Degree or higher in Public Health, Healthcare Leadership, Sociology, or other related fields.
• Experience teaching at the college level.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time, permanent basis at the time of hire; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or other employment‑based immigration support.

• Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard).
• Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching, such as Zoom, Skype, and Microsoft Teams.
