Overview
Part-Time Remote Tutor (Academic Support) at Revolution Prep. Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives—all from the comfort of your home. As a part-time tutor, you’ll have the stability of a W-2 employee, paid training and prep time, and a supportive community. Our in-house curriculum allows you to focus on teaching.

Responsibilities- Lead dynamic academic support tutoring sessions (approximately 90% of the role).
- Share educational progress with students and families (approximately 5%).
- Utilize curated resources for stress-free planning (approximately 5%).
- Pay: $20 per hour for tutoring; prep and training time compensated at $10 per hour or your local minimum wage (whichever is higher).
- Part-time: 12-hour delivery target with 16 hours of availability or 20-hour delivery target with 24 hours of availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Completed a minimum of two years at an accredited university; additional qualifications a plus.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. and current residence required.
- Minimum of one semester teaching or tutoring experience.
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet, professional space; technology kit provided if needed (webcam, headset, ring light, green screen, annotation tablet).
- The ability to commit to the same 16 or 24 hours of availability week-to-week during weekday afternoons/evenings and at least 8 hours on weekends.
- Availability:
Post at least 16 or 24 prime-time hours weekly, the same hours every week. Typically 12 tutoring hours per week for the 16-hour target or 20 tutoring hours per week for the 24-hour target, depending on student demand. - Prime-time hours:
Mon–Thu 4–10 pm ET;
Sat 9 am–6 pm ET;
Sun 11 am–10 pm ET. Weekends require at least 8 hours of availability. - Advance planning:
Preference for posting schedules 9+ months ahead; submit time-off requests 4 weeks in advance.
- Paid prep time
- 12 hours of paid onboarding training plus ongoing professional development
- No competition for hours; hours are based on availability and subject expertise
- Engaging community and supportive Faculty Leaders
- Background check is required for all tutors.
- Tech kit is available if needed (webcam, headset, green screen, annotation tablet).
