Location: New York

College Assistant – Ph.D. Program in Business

Join the City University of New York as a College Assistant supporting the Ph.D. Program in Business housed at the Graduate Center (GC) and Baruch College. The position is hybrid, requiring 80% onsite time at the GC and 20% remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Assistant Program Officer (APO) with student registration paperwork and program fund disbursements.
  • Prepare data summaries, reports, and program data collection as needed.
  • Plan and facilitate program meetings and events, including sending invitations, reserving space, and ordering food.
  • Help coordinate First and Second Level Examinations and dissertation Proposal and Final Examinations.
  • Liaise with GC offices to deliver services and provide referrals to students.
  • Assist in scheduling teaching sessions and conference room bookings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to perform assigned duties efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, Zoom, CUNYfirst, and CUNYBuy.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Collegial interaction with students, prospective students, faculty, and visitors.
  • Prior experience at the CUNY Graduate Center or familiarity with GC administrative processes.
Compensation

$20 per hour.
