Make A Difference, Fredericksburg! - Local Coordinator to Exchange Students Needed!

Join Education Travel & Culture (ETC), a non‑profit 501(c)(3) educational exchange organization, as a part‑time Local Coordinator and help support high‑school students worldwide and their host families.

ETC provides inbound and outbound program opportunities, working with high‑school exchange students and host families across the country. As a Local Coordinator you will work closely with students, host families, local high schools, and our Field Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee exchange students, including monthly check‑ins and coordination with local high schools
  • Recruit and screen volunteer host families through reverse networking, job postings, phone calls, and outbound emails
  • Maintain regular communication with students, families, and staff; provide support during the program
  • Receive full training, teaching, and ongoing support from the Field Manager
  • Act as an independent contractor working from home and setting your own schedule
Qualifications
  • Ability to problem‑solve and support students and host families during their program
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and well‑networked within the community
  • Driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Background check clearance
  • Recruitment skills and ability to screen leads (nice‑to‑have)
  • Compensation depends on recruitment efforts and student oversight; supplemental income only

Compensation ranges from $13.00–$15.00 per hour, with additional incentive trips for performance. Compensation is dependent upon recruitment efforts and student oversight, and the position provides supplemental income only.
