The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring is searching for a senior SAT or ACT tutor for online assignments with students grades 9-12. The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of the tests and how to teach key concepts and skills to students. Tutoring can take place at any time of day; most sessions are in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Hours are flexible, 4–12 per week.

• Plan and deliver full‑test tutoring sessions for SAT and/or ACT.
• Teach test strategies, content mastery, and effective study techniques.
• Explain concepts in a variety of ways to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Build rapport and maintain engaging communication with students.

• Passion for teaching (and learning).
• Minimum of 500 combined tutoring session hours in SAT and/or ACT.
• Strong scores on either the SAT or ACT.
• Availability to tutor 4–12 hours per week.
• Great teaching instincts and ability to explain concepts in a variety of ways.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.
• Compassionate and understanding attitude.
• Exceptionally clear communication style.
• Native English speaker residing in the United States.
• Bachelor of Arts/Science from a highly reputable university.
• Track record of having tutored all sections of either the SAT or ACT (or both).
• Experience working with adolescents and ability to relate to teenagers.
• Strong academic background (high‑school, college, graduate grades).
