Teaching Responsibilities- Available to teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams.
- Flexible to teach during the day, or evenings and/or weekends, based on the course schedule.
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement.
- Ensure alignment of instructional strategies with CIAT’s adult learner framework, emphasizing certification readiness.
- Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies in a synchronous online format (Microsoft Teams).
- Maintain current certifications in subjects taught.
- Actively maintain certification(s) in the subject area(s) taught through renewal.
- Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of your field or discipline.
- Connect subject matter with related fields.
- Stay current through professional development, involvement in professional organizations, and attendance at conferences or workshops.
- Design, update, and align course materials with college standards for adult learners.
- Select instructional materials that align with course objectives.
- Keep the curriculum up to date.
- Review course material for accuracy and relevance, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for instructional quality and education.
- Ensure the Student Database is fully updated and accurate with student grade records.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation regarding instructional quality, scheduled class hours, and CIAT policies.
- Promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects and initiatives.
- Adhere to CIAT business casual attire guidelines.
- Maintain FERPA compliance and secure student data in accordance with institutional policy.
- Appropriate certification in Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Minimum of one year of experience in a training setting, ideally delivering IT certification bootcamps.
- Advanced subject matter expertise preferred.
- Experience teaching synchronous online courses preferred.
- Prior experience in curriculum development and instructional design for IT certification bootcamps.
- Familiarity with Cert Master, Test Out, or similar training tools preferred.
- High flexibility, creativity, and dependability.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and learning technologies such as Canvas.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask.
- Problem‑solving skills in a timely manner.
- Sense of urgency while engaging with coworkers from other departments.
- Collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to support student success and institutional goals while contributing to a positive culture.
