Position: Virtual Learning Mentor and Support Officer - YES Connected

About YES Connected

I am delighted to introduce our latest school improvement project, YES Connected. New to The YES Trust, our online learning platform is an innovative approach to alternative provision for students who need a different approach.

YES Connected is here to support schools and local authorities in reaching learners who face barriers to accessing full‑time education in a traditional school setting. Our mission is to deliver an excellent online education while working closely with home schools to strengthen each student’s knowledge, confidence, and wellbeing, with the ultimate goal of reintegrating them successfully into school life.

YES Connected is personalised and child‑centred, built around four core values:

  • Adaptive to need:
Centred around precision teaching, every learner receives a tailored learning experience focussing on their individual needs, ambitions and prior knowledge.
  • Child‑centred – We take the time to understand every child and adapt to their individual needs and circumstances, whilst maintaining high aspirations for their learning and future success.
  • Authentic relationships – Through live lessons, wellbeing check‑ins, weekly assemblies, mentoring and regular communication, we create a safe, connected community.
  • Transforming lives – We provide high‑quality, nurturing education for children who may otherwise engage very little with learning, empowering them to reconnect with education and achieve meaningful success.
