ABOUT THE POSITION

The Partnership for Los Angeles Schools is seeking Secondary Literacy Coaches to join our mission to improve learning and academic achievement for students in the Boyle Heights, South Los Angeles, and Watts communities. The Partnership Instructional Coaching Program’s purpose is to cultivate, align, and codify conditions for instructional coaching best practices, and Partnership Coaches are key resources in closing opportunity gaps through building teacher capacity.

Coaches work with the Partnership School Transformation team – including a team of other Coaches – to strategically plan and implement instructional initiatives.

The ideal candidate for this position has a background in and love for teaching, including significant experience with Secondary and Literacy instruction, Common Core, and teacher development. This is a full-time, year-round position that is dependent on individual school budgets and organizational need.

The Partnership is committed to continuously building an anti-racist culture that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in classrooms and in our home office.
