Instructional Coach, Alpha (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

Alpha School demonstrates that literacy breakthroughs happen without traditional 6‑hour school days. Our 2‑Hour Learning framework combines AI‑adaptive technology with skilled teaching to accelerate reading outcomes. This role creates and conducts workshops that improve phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, and then scales that instruction model to campuses nationwide.

• Conduct adaptive reading workshops that build phonics, comprehension, and fluency capabilities.
• Create personalized motivational experiences using gamified literacy benchmarks.
• Review student performance data to improve instruction and identify actionable trends.
• Partner with engineers to assess and refine AI literacy platforms based on classroom outcomes.
• Build scalable, AI‑integrated content that supports early elementary students in reaching grade‑level reading proficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree and advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience conducting small‑group reading interventions with early elementary students.
• Capable of assessing reading levels, forming student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of prepackaged curricula.
• Experience with AI/adaptive learning platforms and attentive to student engagement patterns within those tools.
• Legal work authorization in the U.S. without need for sponsorship.
• Available to work on‑site at one of our locations:

  Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
