Alpha School is seeking a Reading Interventionist to lead evidence-based literacy instruction, using a 2-Hour Learning approach that combines AI-adaptive platforms with skilled teaching to accelerate reading progress for early elementary learners. The role focuses on creating and executing workshops, measuring progress, and supporting replication of the program across campuses nationwide.

• Conduct adaptive reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency
• Create personalized motivational experiences through gamified literacy achievement markers
• Review student performance data to improve teaching methods and identify actionable patterns
• Partner with engineering teams to assess and refine AI literacy platforms using real classroom feedback
• Build scalable, AI-supported instructional content to help early elementary students reach grade-level reading proficiency

• Bachelor’s degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions for early elementary students
• Ability to assess reading proficiency, form student groups, and create differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
• Experience with AI/adaptive learning platforms and ability to adapt instruction based on student interaction
• Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Available to work on-site at one of the locations:
  Austin, TX;
  Fort Worth, TX;
  Plano, TX;
  Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
