About the Role

The Educator, Learning & Development plays a critical role in onboarding, training, and ongoing skill development for Enjoin employees. This position focuses on building and delivering high‑quality educational programs that strengthen clinical knowledge, coding accuracy, and professional growth. The Educator partners closely with Learning & Development, Human Resources, leadership, and physician SMEs to ensure learning solutions align with business goals and support performance excellence.

This role is ideal for an experienced CDI, coding, or clinical professional who is passionate about education, continuous improvement, and developing others.

Key Responsibilities Learning & Onboarding Facilitation
  • Design and deliver onboarding programs to support new hire integration and role readiness
  • Facilitate training sessions in individual, peer, and group settings
  • Assess learning needs and collaborate across departments to create tailored training solutions
  • Adapt instructional methods to meet audience needs and business objectives
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback and performance data and continuously improve content
Employee Development
  • Identify educational gaps using quality, performance, and feedback data
  • Provide ongoing guidance to staff applying learning to day‑to‑day responsibilities
  • Deliver education on clinical coding topics identified through QA reviews or client concerns
  • Support onboarding and education initiatives as requested by department leaders
Content Development & Maintenance
  • Create, update, and maintain educational materials aligned with clinical and coding standards
  • Research and develop new content in collaboration with the Physician Team
  • Support LMS content development, updates, and ongoing maintenance
  • Monitor and analyze federal guidance (IPPS, CMS compliance, CMS‑HCCs, quality measures) to ensure timely content updates
Subject Matter Expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to employees, supporting career growth and skill development
  • Address clinical coding and documentation questions from internal teams and assist with client inquiries
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure educational content remains accurate and relevant
  • Maintain expertise in regulatory guidelines (IPPS, OPPS, CMS measures, HCCs, MS‑DRG, APR‑DRG)
  • Sustain clinical knowledge of complex disease processes
Culture, Collaboration & Operational Excellence
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to align education with organizational goals
  • Build strong relationships that foster trust, engagement, and inclusion
  • Ensure accuracy of data, communication, and work products
  • Contribute ideas to improve approaches, methodologies, and productivity
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Required certification: CCS, CDIP, and/or CCDS
  • RN and/or educator, trainer, or L&D credential preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field (Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
  • 3+ years of experience as an educator, trainer, or learning & development professional
  • Advanced clinical knowledge of complex disease processes and treatments
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines, including IPPS, CMS claims‑based measures, risk adjustment methodologies, denial practices, MS‑DRG, and APR‑DRG
  • Experience developing and managing onboarding and training programs
  • Experience with LMS platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation
