Position SummaryThe Director of Non-Traditional Nursing Programs is a primarily remote, full-time faculty leadership position responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of Concordia University’s online BSN Completion, Continuing Education, and Direct‑Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DE‑MSN) programs.
Aligned with Concordia University’s Christian mission, this role provides academic and administrative leadership advancing excellence in nursing education while preparing graduates to serve others with compassion, integrity, and professional competence. The Director ensures that programs reflect the University’s commitment to faith‑informed education, ethical practice, and service‑oriented leadership.
Academic AppointmentFull‑Time Faculty‑ (90% Remote / 10% On‑Site for Faculty Summit, Appropriate Student On‑Site Activities, and Graduation Activities)
Reporting RelationshipReports to the Dean of the School of Nursing
Roles Reporting toFaculty and Staff working within the DE‑MSN and BSN completion programs.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Program Leadership & Administration (0.4 FTE)- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the BSN Completion, Continuing Education, and DE‑MSN programs in alignment with Concordia University’s mission and values.
- Lead the evaluation, development, and implementation of additional continuing education opportunities and satellite sites for the DE‑MSN program, ensuring academic quality and mission consistency.
- Oversee faculty assignments, budgeting, and daily program operations for the programs that this director oversees.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, evaluate, and supervise faculty, staff, and adjunct instructors, fostering a collaborative and mission‑centered academic culture.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, licensure requirements, and regulatory guidelines while maintaining program excellence.
- Travel as needed to assess new satellite sites and support ongoing program evaluation, on‑site student activities, and overall improvement.
- Teach assigned courses as needed, not to exceed nine (9) credit hours per academic year.
- Model excellence in online and hybrid instruction while integrating ethical, professional, and faith‑informed perspectives consistent with Concordia’s mission.
- Engage in scholarly activities as outlined in the faculty manual, contributing to the advancement of nursing education, practice, and leadership.
- Support scholarship that aligns with Concordia University’s emphasis on service, ethics, and vocation.
- Participate in service activities at the program, school, and university levels, supporting shared governance, student success, and institutional mission.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and administrative skills.
- Effective interpersonal communication and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic academic environment.

- Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).
- Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states.
- Terminal degree in nursing (e.g., PhD, DNP, EdD) is required.
- Experience in online and/or hybrid teaching modalities and educational technology.
- Experience with simulation, virtual reality (VR), and skills‑based learning.
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing accreditation standards, licensure requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Reliable internet access suitable for remote work and online instruction.
