What You Will Be Doing- Design academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivation architecture, and application development.
- Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure school teams remain aligned, accountable, and outcome‑focused.
- Integrate data, interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem reviews that identify the most impactful obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
- Ensure strategic alignment through structured planning, continuous feedback cycles, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on learning objectives.
- Serve as the public face of 2 Hour Learning at senior levels, including keynote presentations and meetings with ministries of education to advocate for a new paradigm for education globally.
- Working on isolated curriculum initiatives that fail to create systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transferring performance accountability to middle management or external consultants.
- Depending on reputation or academic theory to win over critical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Scale and refine 2 Hour Learning’s validated academic model by coordinating execution across school sites, raising leadership standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative voice of a movement built on rigorous science and proven outcomes.
Basic Requirements- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising.
- Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.
- Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.
