Job SummaryThe Admissions Counselor Northeast position is a fully remote role for candidates located in the region (preferably New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania or Massachusetts). The position will work from home except when traveling to high schools or events in the assigned territory. Recruit for the University of Kentucky, represent the University at college fair programs and professional conferences, which will include extended hours of travel and weekend obligations.
Responsible for managing a recruitment service area; correspond with and counsel prospective students and their families on the college admission process; plan, organize, and direct special events (on and off campus); conduct other office responsibilities as needed; interact with other university departments; work with alumni clubs around the nation keeping them up to date about the University of Kentucky. Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose.
From a student‑centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer‑reviewed literature, national best practices, and data‑informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
