Alpha School is demonstrating that dramatic literacy progress doesn’t demand 6‑hour school days. Our 2‑Hour Learning framework combines AI‑driven adaptive technology with skilled teaching to accelerate reading development. Your role: create and implement workshops that produce measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support nationwide expansion of that proven model.
This position is not about administrative busywork. It centers on evidence‑based teaching, cross‑functional technology partnerships, and constructing a reading curriculum that serves thousands.
What You Will Be Doing- Implementing adaptive reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency competencies
- Creating individualized motivational programming through gamified literacy benchmarks
- Reviewing student performance metrics to optimize teaching methods and extract actionable intelligence
- Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI‑integrated instructional materials that empower early elementary learners to reach grade‑level mastery
- Bachelor’s degree paired with specialized certification in reading pedagogy (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years delivering targeted small‑group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, organizing student cohorts, and crafting differentiated lessons independent of prepackaged curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and adept at interpreting student engagement patterns within those systems
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
- Available to work on‑site at one of our locations:
