General expectations for a Teaching Assistant (TA) are assisting instructors in the classroom as requested. Responsibilities include equipment setup and/or operation (e.g., running slide decks during lectures), facilitating smaller "breakout" student groups as a lead (e.g., presentations, feedback sessions, group communication activities), answering student questions during labs, grading assessments, submitting attendance sheets, and even moderating remote MS Teams channel broadcasts or recordings.

TAs are expected to assist with grading outside the classroom, meet regularly with instructors, and may be required to meet with students outside class to answer questions as needed. Other duties can be assigned by instructors.

TAs will regularly meet with instructors for performance feedback and will receive a full evaluation once per semester.
