The Role:
Remote Doctoral Thesis Supervisor
The Remote Doctoral Thesis Supervision role is a part‑time, fully remote opportunity open to academics around the world. Supervisors work with doctoral candidates online, using Unicaf’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and digital communication tools.
Your primary responsibility will be to supervise doctoral theses within your area of expertise. This includes guiding students in refining research questions, developing theoretical frameworks, applying appropriate methodologies, and producing high‑quality scholarly work that meets international doctoral standards.
In addition to supervision, supervisors may be required to teach doctoral‑level modules related to research methods or current research topics. These teaching responsibilities are also delivered online and are designed to complement the students’ research journeys.
Key Responsibilities
As a doctoral thesis supervisor with Unicaf, your role will include:
Supervising doctoral theses in your specific academic discipline
Teaching doctoral modules related to research methods or advanced research topics when required
Maintaining regular communication with students via email and the Virtual Learning Environment
Monitoring student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback
Guiding students academically and ethically throughout their research journey
Engaging consistently with the online platform , with a minimum of four logins per week
