Overview

You have set a clear academic vision before and taken full ownership of results. You have led with direct authority, not from the background. In learning science, you haven't experimented lightly—you've created something tangible, generated results that validate the approach, and established credibility to present that work publicly. If this describes your experience, 2 Hour Learning is seeking its academic leader.

At 2 Hour Learning, we have developed a system in which students achieve learning gains at twice the typical rate in only two hours per day. These outcomes stem from AI-driven tutoring, mastery-oriented progression, and a fundamental break from traditional classroom design. The impact is measurable. We now need a leader to align execution across varied school implementations, elevate academic leadership standards, and serve as the public representative of a movement rooted in sound learning science.

This role is not theoretical. It is a leadership responsibility. You will control the academic strategy in action, establish rigorous standards, surface gaps in execution, and guide high‑performing teams toward measurable outcomes. You will convert our scientific principles into operational rigor and advocate for this model externally.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Developing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum design, motivational architecture, and application development.
  • Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm that school teams remain aligned, accountable, and results‑driven.
  • Analyzing data, interviews, and direct observation to produce academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend practical interventions.
  • Ensuring strategic alignment via planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
  • Serving as the external face of 2 Hour Learning, from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education, advancing systemic transformation in global educational thinking.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Engaging in isolated curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic impact.
  • Producing theoretical research disconnected from student outcomes or operational delivery.
  • Transferring accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants.
  • Depending on institutional reputation or abstract theory to influence skeptical audiences.
Key Responsibilities

Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by aligning execution across all school sites, raising leadership performance standards, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement based on rigorous science and demonstrated results.

Basic Requirements
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.
  • Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
  • Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising.
  • Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.
  • Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
Nice-to-have Requirements
  • Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture.
  • Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.
  • Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.
