Duke School seeks a part-time Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support its strategic communications, marketing, and community engagement efforts. Working closely with the Director of Strategic Marketing and Enrollment Management and the Assistant Director of Marketing and Digital Communications, this individual will play a key role in producing content and executing communications that reflect the school’s mission, values, and joyful learning environment.
This is a 10-month, hourly position averaging 20 hours per week, renewed annually, with flexibility in scheduling, and the potential for some remote work.
Duke School is searching for a facilities maintenance technician who is able to perform a variety of routine and semi-skilled tasks in support of the overall maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds of the campus. The ideal candidate will have about 2 years of experience in general building and/or multi-building maintenance and will be familiar with basic methods, tools, and equipment used in routine maintenance.
The candidate should have analytical, clerical, and technical skills to assess situations and document them. We would love to have someone on board who enjoys working independently and in a team.
The role of the After School Program Counselor will facilitate various activities that promote physical activity, healthy eating and nutrition, positive personal development and wellness; and to engage and support school-aged children and families in Duke School community.
Duke School offers an exceptional project-based learning environment in which students develop high-level analytical and critical thinking skills. This engaging and rigorous approach to educating students is implemented by a collaborative team of four to eight teachers at each grade level. Duke School has an Early Childhood division (PS-K), a Lower School (grades 1-4), and a Middle School (grades 5-8). The majority of students live in either Durham or Chapel Hill.
The ideal candidate should enjoy working with children of all ages and have at least a year of teaching experience. Please send your resume to teach.
