EHS Coach - Part-time

Position Description

• The Coach for Early Head Start, Home-Based program is responsible for providing on‑going coaching for home visiting staff (CDE). The position utilizes a research based coaching strategy which entails goal setting, mentoring, observation, reflection, and feedback to home visiting staff. The Coach provided support in effective strategies in the home that lead to positive outcomes for children and families. Supporting the parallel process through the context of a collaborative relationship, the Coach will focus on individual and group professional learning.
  
  The Coach for EHS Home-Based programs will expand CDE’s understanding of the Head Start‑Early Head Start Learning Outcomes Framework, School Readiness Goals, HOVRS, and implementation of PAT evidenced‑based home visiting curriculum.

Ensure quality program service delivery within the EHS home‑based program and protect the privacy of families and hold in confidence all information obtained in the course of service.

Wage range varies based on experience and education: $23.61 - 27.64.

• Education and/or certification and experience
  • Education Coach – Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
  • Parents as Teachers (PAT) foundational and model certified
  • Infant/Toddler Developmental Assessment (IDA) certified
  • HOVRS reliable preferred. Must obtain within first year of employment
• Experience
  • Minimum five years of home visiting experience with families of children prenatal to age 5, preferably in Early Head Start
  • Experience with child outcomes reporting and planning based on data.
• Other
  • Have and maintain a valid driver’s license, safe driving record and safe, dependable and insured transportation.
  • Provide criminal background check by digital fingerprinting, and

Maintain adequate physical health as evidenced by passing a physical exam and TB screening upon hire and thereafter every three (3) years.
