We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Teaching Assistant to join our team to support our EAL students. This role will take responsibility for the management and delivery of intervention for students with English as an additional language (EAL needs) and some additional provision led by our Literacy lead.

The school prioritises professional development opportunities for staff and considers the workload of staff thoughtfully. As a result, staff feel valued highly.
- Planning and delivering strategies for staff to use to support EAL students in mainstream lessons
- Overseeing the provision and support for students with EAL who require additional intervention, reviewing progress and amending intervention appropriately.
- Liaising with outside agencies to support students with EAL, their transition and progress and being the TRA link to these organisations
- Observing students with EAL to identify learning needs/ barriers where necessary
- Maintain accurate records, and adhere to safeguarding policies.
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., first aid, behaviour management) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT tools and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to guide less experienced colleagues and work collaboratively in a team.
- Prior experience in an educational or similar environment.
