Alpha School demonstrates that literacy gains do not depend on 6‑hour school schedules. We combine AI‑adaptive platforms with skilled teaching through our 2‑Hour Learning framework to accelerate reading progress. You will design and execute workshops that produce quantifiable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, and support our effort to expand that program to campuses nationwide.
This role is not about administrative paperwork. It centers on data‑informed teaching, collaboration with technology teams, and constructing a reading curriculum that scales to thousands of students.

Responsibilities- Conduct adaptive reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency
- Create individualized motivational frameworks using gamified literacy benchmarks
- Review student performance data to improve teaching methods and generate practical insights
- Partner with engineering teams to assess and refine AI literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
- Build scalable, AI‑supported instructional content that enables early elementary learners to reach grade‑level reading proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (such as Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years delivering small‑group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Capable of assessing reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independently of pre‑packaged curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond to student interaction patterns within them
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship

Working with usThis is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
