We have immediate openings for current or retired teachers to score Latin Key benefits

• Scoring the Texas Educator Certification Examinations provides educators with a unique opportunity to network with peers, support their profession, and stay up to date with current practices and content.
• Scorers are provided with the opportunity to learn a process for evaluating responses to performance assignments, effectively and fairly.
• Scorers are provided with a thorough orientation to the methodology of how to score responses and gain valuable assessment skills in the process.
• All scoring is done during the day remotely via Teams. Scoring sessions are conducted 4 times a year for one day and scorers are scheduled based on their availability.
• Compensation is hourly at $17.50 per hour.

Overall Responsibilities

• Evaluates teacher certification candidate responses to constructed‑response items in a reliable manner and scores according to supplied scoring guide.
• Successfully internalizes training and participates in discussions.
• Meets quality and productivity requirements established for the scoring program.
• May be required to pass qualifying test before scoring.

Qualifications

• Conferred a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an Accredited College or University.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a Texas school.
• Taught the specific content field being scored within the past 3 years in a Texas school.
• Valid and current Texas certification required.
• Must reside in the state of Texas.
• Basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
