Full-time, Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated leader to join the senior leadership team of a well-regarded SEN secondary school in Acton. The school supports students aged 11-16 with a range of special educational needs, including autism, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and speech and language needs. Staff are committed to providing a safe, supportive and stimulating environment where every young person can reach their potential.
We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher with a clear commitment to inclusive education, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to lead on a key area of whole-school improvement. This may include curriculum, behaviour and wellbeing, staff development, or teaching and learning-aligned with your experience and strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a designated area of school improvement. Support and develop high-quality, inclusive teaching practices. Line manage staff and contribute to professional development across the school. Play a central role in school strategy, daily operations, and safeguarding. Promote a positive and respectful school culture.
What We're Looking For:
Proven leadership experience in a special or inclusive education setting. Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and effective SEN provision. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A reflective, resilient, and values-driven leader. Ability to inspire and support both students and staff.
