Applications are invited for the above post in the School of Medicine. This position will be initially based at the University of Nottingham Medical School at Derby, Royal Derby Hospital for the remainder of the current 2025-26 academic year. From September 2026 onwards this position will relocate on a permanent basis to the University Park campus and the Medical School Building at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will join a dedicated team of anatomy educators and teaching technicians and will have opportunities to:
- Deliver lectures and facilitate small group teaching for undergraduate programmes, including the 4-year Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) course and the new 5-year BMBS Medicine curriculum
- Supervise final year BSc student projects and contribute to assessment processes
- Act as a facilitator in cadaveric and non‑cadaveric gross anatomy practicals for School of Medicine undergraduate programmes
- Create new cadaveric prosections for use in anatomy practicals
- Serve as a Personal Tutor or Educational Supervisor for a cohort of undergraduate students, providing consistently excellent support for student learning
- Pursue opportunities related to research in anatomy education
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in anatomy education, with enthusiasm for using new technologies to enhance teaching and learning
- A PhD or equivalent in human anatomy or a related subject area, or an MSc in human anatomy with relevant teaching experience
