Job Summary:
Under direction of the Department Chairs and Instructional Specialist. Students will prepare class materials, construct demonstration equipment, assist in shop cleaning, general organization and maintenance of lab areas and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Must maintain enrollment in at least six (6) credits at LBCC, maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better (some positions may require a higher GPA), and have financial aid in place to be eligible to work in a Work Study student employee capacity at Linn‑Benton Community College.
- Must be enrolled in the Mechatronics program
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference goes to second year students. First year students are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements and
Working Conditions:
Standing and walking for extended periods of time. Work in this position is done indoors in the lab space. Involves working with or on a computer as directed. Due to lab‑style environment, recognition and communication of electrical, physical, slip/fall, chemical, etc, hazards may be necessary.
