Adjunct faculty are needed to teach 1-2 online courses at the graduate/masters level for programs in Elementary and Teacher Education.
ECSU is looking to expand its adjunct pool for its new online Masters of Education Program. Specifically, we are looking for engaging instructors from a variety of backgrounds such as literacy, reading, math, science, social studies, arts/music, physical education, psychology, classroom management, education research, curriculum and instruction, education leadership and principal preparation. In addition, experience with National Board Certification is highly desirable.
Competencies/Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities Required
- Considered: Master’s Degree plus 18 hours of graduate‑level endorsement in specific subjects or National Board Certification.
- Preferred: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, subject specific preparation (e.g., Math, Science, Reading, Literacy or Social Science Education), educational leadership, K‑12 administration, or a related field.
- Experience in the leadership of Pre‑K–12 schools at the principal or superintendent level is a plus. Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions. Eligibility for NC teaching license required.
- Experience teaching in online/digital environments is required; a brief virtual interview or lesson presentation may be required to demonstrate competency. Blackboard Learning Management System experience is beneficial.
