From English learners, multilingual students, bilingual students and dual language learners who are struggling to read or write, Summit K12’s online, standards‑based supplemental curriculum will close gaps and ensure growth for all students.
Summit K12 is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist with experience in teaching, coaching, or school leadership to join our National Professional Development Team. The ideal candidate has a robust understanding of language development. The Instructional Coach will provide onsite and online high‑quality professional development for teachers and leaders who are implementing our Summit K12 Connect to Literacy solution. LOCATIONU.S.‑based (National). Candidates must reside in the United States and be located near a major airport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Professional Development Delivery
- Plan, organize, conduct, and facilitate online and on‑site professional development learning on Summit K12 solutions.
2. Implementation Success
- Ensure successful implementations: empower teachers and school leaders to effectively implement evidence‑based practices aligned to our solution, thereby nurturing an environment conducive to student success.
3. Expertise in Solutions
- Become an expert in our company's online English Language Development solution (Connect to Literacy).
4. Data Utilization
- Leverage data dashboards to analyze and present key metrics that demonstrate the impact of the company’s educational solutions on student outcomes.
- Train leaders on how to effectively use data dashboards to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.
- Continuously monitor and interpret dashboard data to provide actionable insights to both internal teams and district partners.
5. Organization and Flexibility
- Exceptional multi‑tasking skills and ability to pivot easily in a high‑demanding environment.
6. Expertise and Learning
- Commit to continuous learning: commit to life‑long learning and professional development, including staying up‑to‑date on evidence‑based practices.
7. Support and Coaching
- Facilitate LMS navigational support, demonstration lessons, individual coaching sessions, and leadership sessions (planning and support).
8. Adapt and Improve
- Proactively seek out feedback and adapt practices based on feedback and what leads to improved student outcomes.
9. Collaboration
- Collaborate with other team members, both within the PD team and across departments, to ensure that materials, methods, and professional learning meet the highest standards to achieve optimal results.
10. Promote Classroom Equity
- Ensure classroom equity through tailored professional development sessions for teachers, coaches, and leaders.
Willingness to travel across the US.
