Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Coding & Robotics (E-Learning Content Development)

Edutronics is a leading educational technology provider in South Africa, holding the sole distribution and intellectual rights to an exclusive Coding & Robotics Kit. We specialize in curriculum-aligned STEM education solutions for schools and training institutions, supported by structured e-learning programs and educator support systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with our academic and development team to:

• Update and enhance existing coding and robotics course material
• Develop new e-learning modules aligned with CAPS and international best practices
• Structure content specifically for Moodle LMS integration
• Create engaging learner-focused content including:
• Video lesson scripts
• Practical coding exercises
• Robotics project guides
• Assessments and quizzes
• Teacher guides and facilitator notes
• Ensure age-appropriate scaffolding from beginner to advanced levels
• Align content with real-world STEM applications and project-based learning methodologies

• Strong background in Coding and Robotics
• Experience with platforms such as:
• Arduino
• Scratch / Blockly
• Python
• Robotics kits (educational robotics platforms)
• Experience developing e-learning content
• Familiarity with Moodle LMS structure and course creation
• Understanding of curriculum alignment (CAPS preferred)
• Ability to translate technical concepts into learner-friendly content
• Strong instructional design and assessment development skills

• Teaching experience (Primary, High School, or TVET level)
• Experience in STEM curriculum development
• Experience with instructional design frameworks
• Video scripting or digital course production experience

• Excellent written communication skills
• Structured and detail-oriented
