Brass Tutor Vacancy

3 ½ days a week

Barnsley Music Service are seeking to recruit a Brass Tutor to commence employment from w/c 13th April 2026.

• Teaching brass instruments to whole classes of Key Stage 2 age children in primary schools.
• Teaching brass to small groups (3-4 children) and individuals in primary and secondary schools.
• Conducting after-school bands.
• Working 3 ½ days per week with opportunity to expand.
• Must include a Tuesday and Friday (other days flexible).

• Opportunity to work with an outstanding team of music tutors, with amazing young people and in excellent schools.
• Permanent, salaried position on Teachers’ terms and conditions (unqualified scale 3-6 depending on experience) with pay during school holidays.
• Term time working pattern with the benefit of school holidays.
