The Learning Circle, a mindful and democratic online school, is seeking a passionate Mathematics Teacher to inspire and mentor students in their maths learning journeys. : 10:25–11:20 (KS3 Maths small group)
The Maths Teacher will deliver engaging online lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and support students both individually and in groups. You’ll inspire a love of learning, encourage independence, and contribute to the collaborative planning and democratic ethos of The Learning Circle.
Key Responsibilities- Teach maths to KS3, pre‑GCSE, and IGCSE students online
- Mentor and support students in their learning journeys
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and collaborative curriculum planning
- Provide feedback when requested, including GCSE preparation support
- Contribute to the democratic and mindful ethos of the learning community
- Essential
:- Appropriate professional teaching qualifications
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at secondary or higher education levels
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly
- Demonstrated mentoring/tutoring skills with focus on student engagement
- Commitment to professional development and teamwork
- Desirable
:- Experience with special educational needs
- Background in democratic or alternative education approaches
