Job Description
The Nonlinear Dynamics Research Center (NDRC) at the College of Humanities and Sciences, Ajman University, invites applications for a full-time faculty research position (Research Assistant/Associate/Professor) in Applied Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct high-impact research, contribute to teaching activities, secure external funding, and actively engage with the university’s academic and professional community.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct advanced research in Nonlinear Dynamics, Fractional Calculus, Mathematical Modeling, and Control Theory.
- Publish in high-impact, Scopus-indexed Q1/Q2 journals.
- Participate actively in national and international research conferences.
- Deliver lectures and workshops in specialized research areas.
- Supervise graduate students’ research projects and dissertations.
- Develop and submit competitive research grant proposals.
- Secure external research funding to support ongoing research activities.
- Organize and coordinate workshops, seminars, and conferences at both national and international levels.
- Foster collaborations with industry partners, governmental institutions, and academic research centers.
- Actively contribute to the growth and visibility of Ajman University and the NDRC.
- A Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics or a closely related field from an internationally reputable institution.
- A strong publication record in high-impact SCOPUS-indexed journals with a notable h-index and citation count.
- Proven experience in teaching and research supervision at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Experience in securing and managing external research grants is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Proficiency in Mathematical software (MATLAB, Mathematica, Maple) and LaTeX.
- Ability to work collaboratively on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and program development skills.
