About Youth Build Ventures UKYouth Build Ventures UK (YBVUK) works alongside young people who are furthest from opportunity, supporting them to build the confidence, skills and belief they need to shape their own futures.
Our work is trauma-informed, relational and rooted in community. We combine vocational training, leadership development, wellbeing support and hands‑on community activity to create meaningful pathways into employment and long‑term opportunity.
We are part of the global Youth Build movement, shaping a proven model to reflect the needs of young people and communities here in the UK.
The roleAs Construction Lead, you will shape how young people experience the construction industry — often for the very first time. You will lead all construction and technical elements of Youth Build programmes, ensuring delivery is high‑quality, industry‑relevant and grounded in real site practice.
You’ll be hands‑on in the workshop, demonstrating techniques, modelling safe practice, setting standards, but you’ll also be leading the wider construction strand: developing curriculum, overseeing accredited qualifications, ensuring health & safety excellence, and keeping our offer current and future‑focused.
This role is also about innovation and growth. You will help evolve and strengthen our construction offer — exploring green skills, retrofit, emerging trades and new approaches to training. As part of the global Youth Build movement, you will connect with construction leads and tutors internationally, sharing learning, best practice and ideas that keep our programmes ambitious, relevant and at the forefront of youth‑focused technical training.
Reporting to the Head of Youth Development, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure construction training connects seamlessly with leadership development, employability and employer progression pathways.
