As a Software Engineer on the Simulations team, you will contribute directly to the design, implementation, and evolution of our web‑based simulation platform. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on building new features, improving existing systems, and maintaining a high standard of quality across the codebase.

You’ll work closely with a small, cross‑functional team to take features from concept through production, including implementation, testing, and monitoring. The work spans both underlying simulation logic and user‑facing interfaces, requiring a balance between correctness, performance, accessibility, and usability.

This role offers meaningful ownership and influence. You’ll help shape technical decisions, collaborate closely with product and design, and take responsibility for the long‑term health of the systems you work on.

• Own the design and implementation of simulation features from concept through production, including long‑term maintenance and improvement
• Translate complex real‑world systems into clear, performant, and testable software models
• Improve and refactor existing systems to increase reliability, performance, and ease of iteration
• Collaborate closely with product and design to balance educational goals with technical constraints
• Contribute to technical direction through code review, architectural discussions, and incremental improvements
• Ensure our simulations are accessible, observable, and dependable in real classroom environments
